Senior's Care

Program Overview

African Centre in Toronto (ACT) is committed to supporting seniors to age with dignity, independence, and good health. As communities grow older, ACT recognizes the need for culturally responsive, accessible, and

compassionate seniors care—particularly for immigrants and newcomers who may face isolation, language barriers, and limited access to services.

Why Seniors Care Matters

Ageing is a natural part of life, and while it cannot be prevented, many age-related challenges can be managed through early support, education, and coordinated care. Common concerns among seniors include memory loss, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, reduced mobility, and chronic health conditions. ACT’s approach focuses on prevention, awareness, and practical support to improve quality of life and overall well-being.
